Policy for Health, Safety and Environment

Petrol Raccord (PR), founded in 1967 and incorporated in Allied International Group in 2023, has integrated into its management quality system according to ISO 9001, a health and safety system in the workplace according to UNI ISO 45001 and an environmental management system according to UNI ISO 14001. These integrations confirms that’s a priority for PR to ensure health and safety in its workplace and to reduce as much as possible pollution, energy waste and all forms of environmental damage.

PR's Policy for Health, Safety and the Environment follows the following guidelines:

• development of a culture of Health, Safety and Environment in every company belonging to the group;
• prevention of injuries at work and occupational illnesses;
• continuous improvement of Health and Safety conditions in all workplaces;
• prevention of pollution, energy waste and all forms of damage of the Environment;
• continuous improvement of environmental performance;
• involvement of all staff in matters related to Health, Safety and the Environment;
• compliance with related current regulations.

By means of a constructive relationship with workers and their representatives, together with governmental authorities and other co-operators, PR aims to consolidate a result achieved through years of working experience, in order to satisfy the expectations of its interested parties and society as a whole, to promote sustainable practices and development, pursuing the belief that on the subject of Health, Safety and the Environment, more can always be done.

In order to implement this Policy, PR has adopted a Management System that aims to: improve Health, Safety and Environmental performance in the workplace, thus reducing sources of risk as well as pollution and energy waste; remain up-to-date with current legislation and relevant standards; engage employees and suppliers in the corporate values around Health, Safety and the Environment; communicate and make this Policy available to everybody concerned and make them aware of their responsibilities towards Health, Safety and the Environment.

PR has already implemented actions aimed at improving conditions for Health, Safety and the Environment in all workplaces, in particular:

• reducing the risk of injury through the appropriate training of personnel;
• monitoring the exposure of workers to physical and chemical risks;
• reducing the environmental impact of emissions into the atmosphere by suitable conveyor systems and considerable reduction of smoke and dust;
• prevention of water, soil and subsoil contamination, with clear definition of the steps to follow in the event of an emergency;
• reduction of noise emissions into the environment by means of direct intervention on the sources of noise in order to limit its diffusion;
• control of waste by separate collection and disposal through authorized recycling contractors.

Further tasks to be achieved are the following:

• improving the management of human resources in order to avoid any exposure harmful to Health and any situation that might put individual and collective safety at risk;
• maintaining appropriate control of environmental aspects to allow a timely detection of any discrepancies compared with legal limits and to analyze trends in values measured over time;
• limiting the use of hazardous substances and the exposure of personnel to such substances;
• improving the separate collection of waste;
• optimizing the consumption of energy resources;
• satisfying the expectations of interested parties.

These objectives have been planned as part of a specific program of actions, with constant monitoring of performance in order to achieve the intended results.

The Policy for Health, Safety and the Environment is subject to regular review to ensure that it remains appropriate and relevant to the values and objectives of PR.
